Okaytea, Darjeeling, India

High in the Mirik Valley, surrounded by misty mountains and rolling hillsides, lies Okayti Estate – one of Darjeeling’s most traditional tea estates. We visited the estate in 2025 and were struck by both the spectacular scenery and the quality of the tea. Okayti has roots dating back to the 1870s and is today renowned for producing some of the finest classic Darjeeling tea.

From this beautiful, organic estate, we have selected two teas that truly stand out: the house No. 3 Muscatel and Darjeeling Silver Needle. Two elegant and characterful teas from one of the world’s most famous tea districts – for those who want to discover what real Darjeeling can be.
