Lumbini, Sri Lanka

Early in 2026, we traveled to Sri Lanka on a tea discovery trip, and found our way deep into the jungle of Deniyaya – to Lumbini Tea Estate, right next to the UNESCO-protected Sinharaja Forest Reserve. Here, surrounded by lush nature, a tropical climate and rich biodiversity, the tea grows in a very special terroir. The mist from the forest, the fertile soil and the proximity to the rainforest provide optimal conditions for developing teas with a unique character.

Two exciting expressions from one of Sri Lanka’s most fascinating tea areas – grown in the shade of the rainforest and close to nature.
