Guranse, Nepal
Tucked away high in the Makalu Mountains in Nepal is Guranse Tea Estate – one of the world’s highest tea gardens, with tea bushes growing between 1067 and 2127 metres above sea level. Here, surrounded by rhododendron flowers – Nepal’s national flower – the tea is allowed to slowly grow in the cool mountain climate and develop its own unique character.
We’ve selected two of our favourites from Guranse: Snow Blossom, a delicate and elegant white tea, and Handrolled Spring, a lovely first flush black tea with a light and refined flavour. Two unique teas from the heights of Nepal – perfect for those who want to discover something a little out of the ordinary.
