When the sun is at its hottest, nothing beats an ice-cold, refreshing glass of iced tea. This delicious iced tea, made with our exclusive Awesome Earl – a premium Darjeeling tea blended with real bergamot oil – combines aromatic tea with fresh summer berries for a tasty and elegant refreshment. A simple but delicious drink that is just as suitable for lazy days at home as for pleasant times with friends.
Here’s how:
Boil water to 100 degrees.
For 1 liter of iced tea, you need about 15 grams of Awesome Earl tea blend.
Place the tea leaves in a container that can withstand hot water, and pour over the boiling water.
Add a little sweetener, (such as our homemade strawberry syrup).
We used a little over a teaspoon of syrup for 2 dl of tea, but feel free to taste.
Let the tea steep for about 4 minutes before straining the leaves and pouring the tea into a clean container.
Cool the tea to room temperature, then refrigerate for a few hours to allow the flavors to meld.
Before serving, add ice cubes – preferably iced tea ice cubes for extra flavor – and garnish with fresh strawberries and lemon slices.
